Résumé

Les otites suppurées du chien constituent souvent un challenge thérapeutique. Il est indispensable de différencier les otites suppurées évoluant dans un contexte aigu ou chronique. En appliquant une démarche structurée et le système PSPP^©, un traitement médical adapté peut être mis en place. La prise en charge de la douleur est primordiale et l’utilisation de la corticothérapie par voie orale constitue un élément fort du traitement.

Abstract

Suppurative otitis in dogs often presents a therapeutic challenge. It is essential to differentiate between acute and chronic suppurative otitis. By applying a structured approach and the PSPP system, appropriate medical treatment can be implemented. Pain management is paramount, and the use of oral corticosteroids is a key component of treatment.
